Hi everyone this is Keith Harper Jr. for WKNJ 90.3 fm. I’m here with the weekly music review. This week’s pick is Hip Hop great Jay-z’ s newest entitled “The Blueprint 3”. It’s the closing to his blueprint trilogy. Jay returns with a vengeance on the hip-hop game to show he is still the King and even at the age of 39 he can still make a solid album. Jay’s first single is Death of Auto Tune otherwise known as D.O.A. It’s lyrics address the over usage of auto tune in the music industry let’s listen_________. Jay’s second single Run this town comes with star studded help from mega producer Kanye West and R&B’s leading lady Rihanna it peaked at number 3 on billboard’s hot 100 lets take a listen_________. Jay’s third single is Empire State of mind featuring R&B great Alicia Keys has become one of his biggest hits. It’s basically the theme song for New York. Jay performed the song at New Yankee stadium during the World Series and was the first to do so. Lets take a listen__________. Overall the Blueprint 3 is a solid effort with production from Kanye West, NO ID, Timberland, and Swiss Beatz. This is Jay-z’s 11^th number and it moved 476,000 units it first week and as of today has sold 2.9 million units worldwide . The blueprint 3 is a good buy you will enjoy it.
